Despite being a machine with nothing to cover up, Hubbard still wears clothes. Most often business casual.

His voice is very flat and mechanical. Usually shown via this html.

Setting & History:

The planet first scientifically known as T-G.AK was from the very beginning of time the resting place of every being in the galaxy. Whenever a creature passed away, their very essence (named Thetans) was sent there unless it became lost or captured along the way, resting until it was ready to head out again and become a new life. This was unknown for a great deal of time, until galactic society progressed enough. The huge number of conflicts amongst the many sentient species of the galaxy eventually lead to a single battle with such a gigantic death toll that the collection of Thetans was sufficient to light the path to the planet. That battle lead to the creation of the Galactic Confederacy, starting the pathway towards peace.

The actual physical discovery of the paradise like planet occurred several thousand years later. The resting place was given the name of the Miracle Planet, its existence used as a tool to further peace. This still was not sufficient by itself and hundreds of thousands of years passed. Whilst originally anyone was allowed to visit the planet with peaceful intentions, the fear this may disrupt the natural order of the galaxy lead to its location being made a secret. Only special cases were allowed to visit, usually as a reward for a grand venture. Few of these cases occurred.

Millions of years on, peace finally came to the galaxy, largely due to the efforts of a single, incredibly powerful and charismatic warrior named Zenu. Zenu won battles and hearts, unifying races and worlds with as much his love for life as his power to end it. General Zenu was therefore given permission to go to the Miracle Planet, the first in many megannums. There he discovered the first fledglings of a new sentient species- The Miracle People. It was decided to allow them to develop, as they appeared to have a symbiotic relationship with the Thetans, able to take them into their bodies to allow them to touch the world again.

Several thousands of years later, Zenu's beloved wife was killed in a rebel attack that sparked a civil war. Once that war was brought to a close by Zenu's compassion and power he, now undisputably the most loved being in the cosmos, was once again given permission to visit the Miracle Planet in order to meet his wife once more. When he arrived, he discovered that the Miracle People had progressed into a full global society. Calling themselves Humans and the planet Earth, they had their first contact with the galaxy.

That is where Hubbard comes in. Just a child when Zenu arrived, Hubbard the human met Zenu and they became fast friends. Hubbard was the holder of Zenu's loved one's Thetan, so he watched over him with great care, allowing Hubbard to keep the secret of extraterrestrial life. Hubbard was taught the secrets of Dianetics, the power of using the mind to alter the world around oneself, which was quite common in the wider galaxy. Zenu would visit every few years.

Hubbard's growing scientific curiosity lead to him devoting his life to the studying of Thetans and Dianetics, teaching what he discovered as he did. Zenu worried his interference was disrupting Earth's balance, but allowed it to continue, too desperate to continue to visit his wife's essence to prevent it.

That would prove to be the greatest mistake. Under Hubbard's guidance, technological and mental advancement took gigantic leaps and bounds. The creation of a new power source was required to allow this way of life to continue- The Thetan Engine was completed just in time for Zenu to realise his error, watching as his wife's existence was erased to create a perpetually energy producing device, an Eternity Jewel. That moment, Zenu lost his mind and unleashed a psychic power so grand the world was to be stripped bare. Evacuating to space, most surviving humans fled. Zenu's declaration he would eradicate the species lead to them being chased for millions of years, running from extinction in space. Without Zenu's guidance, the Galactic Confederacy fell apart.

Many were left behind, but only one stayed purposefully. Hubbard, wracked with guilt about destroying his world, his closest friend and dooming his species, stayed behind to guide survivors on the ravaged world. Numerous everlasting effects were left behind. A storm that hunted humans. Lingering hatred that caused genetic abnormalities in the remaining species. As time passed, Hubbard's group all died. Left alone, unable to bear the thought of allowing his sins to go unrepented, he crafted a robotic body for himself to allow him to continue to live. His Dianetic power persisted even as a machine, passing his mind into it. With the last Eternity Jewel on Earth to power him, the suppressing power of Zenu's abilities not allowing any other power sources, he entered into a meditative state to contemplate his next move.

Millions of years later, he breached the mental barrier of reality, the Wall of Fire that was the secret to Zenu's power. However, he was unable to achieve the inner peace required to gain the full benefits but the knowledge became invaluable. When he awoke, his jewel was missing, leaving him stranded in the cave saturated with its power. He was discovered by a race of sentient lizards, the Reptilians, he educated their primitive tribe, teaching them such things as agriculture, architecture, mathematics and so forth. He kept Dianetics from them, unsure if they were ready. Unbeknownst to him, the Reptilians were waging a war of extinction against the last remaining human tribes, who had been reduced to almost Stone Age tribes themselves.

It was not until he was found by a young human boy with natural Dianetics that Hubbard knew his race was not extinct. Teaching him secrets of his powers, the boy retrieved his Eternity Jewel and Hubbard left his cave, attempting to create peace between the many species of the world by reactivating the ancient human cities. Once he felt that peace had been found, he chose to leave to find the humans that had gone into space, a plan formulating in his mind. Leaving behind knowledge of the Wall of Fire for those on Earth, he left.

Furthering his understanding of the cosmos, Hubbard began to comprehend that the only way to overcome the still hunting Zenu was with a complicated plan to bring enlightened revelation to another. His search for a candidate to become another Ultimate Being like Zenu was on!

Abilites-

Though Hubbard's robotic body is extremely sturdy and self-repairing, with the perpetual energy production of an Eternity Jewel to keep it running as well, it features few offensive abilities. No lasers or rockets, and though its physical strength is several times that of a human being's it is not especially great compared to a talented Dianetic user with decent knowledge of mind over matter techniques. He has no requirements of food, drink, sleep or air.

He is one of the greatest users of Dianetics in the universe, having been taught personally by Zenu himself. He can use his ability to manipulate the physical world around him by mental fortitude and understanding of his own mind to many effects, though he is largely focused on healing, transportation, telepathy and defensive measures as well as the amplification of traits in others. A more complete of Dianetic skills here.

His scientific genius is incredible, expanded by the use of Dianetics. His creations are usually cartoonishly simplistically effective (and equally often as cartoonishly flawed in their common sense), flying in the face of logic, such as creating impenetrable walls that are perfectly transparent or stealth devices so good he can't find them again.

He is a damn find teacher and when he gets to know a student can work out a good method for teaching them specifically.

Personality

Hubbard is simultaneously an impossibly intelligent super genius and a scatterbrain. Whilst he can easily achieve astounding scientific breakthroughs, he has a great deal of trouble doing simple tasks (such as tying his ties). He's the kind of guy that goes searching the entire house to find his glasses when they are on his forehead.

His curiosity to learn is unfathomable, believing there is nothing that is not supposed to be learned. His zeal to acquire knowledge is only matched by his zest for sharing it, often quite naively. Though he has the best of intentions, his knowledge was often abused by those with more cynical outlooks. A lesson that took him an astoundingly long time to learn, before he realised that some knowledge must be given only to those who won't abuse it.

Hubbard is wracked with guilt for his failures, considering himself solely responsible for the tragedies on Earth, the collapse of galactic society and the constant state of humanity. Though he believes himself to be unforgivable, he still works to rectify what he did simply because that is the right thing to do. However because he considers himself to a failure and inherently tainted he seeks to educate others and allow them to forge the future in his stead- a teacher to the end.

Although he is a very peaceful person who prefers to avoid violence and has an innate altruistic streak, he is well aware that occasionally he must set aside his ideals for the greater good. Equally he often worries about going too far down that route.
